SpeedHUD is a lightweight and highly customizable Minecraft Spigot plugin designed to enhance player experience by providing real-time speed monitoring and competitive speed recording functionalities.
Key Features:
Real-time Speed Display: Players can activate an on-screen Action Bar HUD that continuously displays their current movement speed. This display is dynamically colored (Green, Yellow, Red) based on configurable speed thresholds, providing immediate visual feedback on their velocity.
Customizable Units: Players have the flexibility to choose their preferred unit of measurement for the HUD display from various options such as Meters per Second (m/s), Kilometers per Hour (km/h), and Miles per Hour (mph).
Top Speed Recording: The plugin allows players to initiate a 10-second recording session to capture and save their highest achieved speed. Each recorded top speed is stored along with the unit of measurement that was active during the recording.
Global Top Speeds Leaderboard: Players can view a ranked list of the server's top recorded speeds. Crucially, the plugin offers an innovative feature: the ability for the viewer to toggle the display unit for the entire leaderboard. This means a player can choose to see all top speeds presented in m/s, km/h, or mph, regardless of the unit in which each individual record was originally set.
Localization Support: Fully supports 2 languages, allowing server administrators to easily configure messages and unit names to match their community's language.
Permissions Integration: Granular permissions allow server administrators to control access to various plugin features, such as enabling/disabling the HUD, changing units, recording speeds, and viewing the top speed list.
