Special Pickaxe Miner

Special Pickaxe Miner is a Minecraft Paper server plugin that adds custom netherite tools for area mining, digging, and farming. It lets server owners give players special pickaxes, shovels, and hoes that work in sizes from 1x1 all the way up to 10x10.

This plugin is made for servers that want powerful custom tools without requiring players to install any client-side mods. It works completely server-side on Paper and is designed to support both Java Edition players and Bedrock Edition players using Geyser/Floodgate.

What does this plugin do?

Special Pickaxe Miner adds custom netherite tools with different area sizes.

You can give players:

• Special pickaxes for area mining stone, ores, deepslate, netherrack, and similar blocks
• Special shovels for area digging dirt, sand, gravel, clay, mud, snow, and similar blocks
• Special hoes for area tilling/farming dirt, grass blocks, paths, coarse dirt, and similar farm blocks

Pickaxes are used for area mining.

Hoes are used for area tilling and farming.

Hoes till the land instead of destroying blocks.

You can also use the /spm give command:

For backwards compatibility, this gives a pickaxe by default:

Open the settings GUI:

/spm settings

For Bedrock players using Geyser or Floodgate, use the exact player name shown on your server.

Examples:

The Bedrock name prefix depends on your Floodgate configuration.

Allows a player to use the main give commands.

Allows giving special pickaxes.

Allows giving special shovels.

Allows using special pickaxe area mining.

Allows using special shovel area digging.

Allows using special hoe area tilling.

Settings GUI

Special Pickaxe Miner includes an in-game admin settings GUI.

Open it with:

/spm settings

The settings menu includes categories for:

This lets server owners control the plugin without only editing config files manually.

Geyser and Floodgate Support

Special Pickaxe Miner works with servers that use GeyserMC and Floodgate. Bedrock players can use the special pickaxes, shovels, and hoes because the plugin uses normal Paper server-side behavior.

Players do not need to install anything on their device. The plugin runs only on the server.

This makes it useful for Java and Bedrock crossplay servers.

Installation

1. Download the plugin jar file.
2. Put the jar file into your Paper server’s plugins folder.
3. Restart the server.
4. Give yourself OP or the required permissions.
5. Use /spm settings to check the settings.
6. Use /givepickaxe @s 10x10, /giveshovel @s 10x10, and /givehoe @s 10x10 to test the plugin.

Do not use /reload on production servers. A full restart is recommended.

Example Setup

After installing the plugin, run:

/givepickaxe @s 3x3
/givepickaxe @s 10x10
/giveshovel @s 3x3
/giveshovel @s 10x10
/givehoe @s 3x3
/givehoe @s 10x10

Then test each tool in a safe area before using it near important builds.

Important Notes

This plugin is server-side only. Players do not need Forge, Fabric, Quilt, NeoForge, mods, or resource packs.

Just install it on your Paper server, restart, and use the commands to give yourself special tools.
