🌌 SMPStart

SMPStart turns the start of your SMP into a full server event instead of just players spawning in.

When you run /smpstart, the server goes through a short cinematic sequence with a countdown, particles, world border changes, and a shared “SMP HAS STARTED” moment for everyone online.

⚙ What it does

SMPStart is a lightweight but cinematic plugin for Paper servers that handles SMP openings in a more interesting way than just teleporting players into a world.

It includes:

⏱ 10-second start countdown with titles
✨ Particle effects that scale up during the countdown
🌍 World border animation (starts small, then expands at launch)
🚀 Player launch into the sky at start
🛡 Optional PvP grace period after launch
📊 Bossbar showing grace time remaining
🎛 GUI panel for controlling everything in-game

🎨 Themes

You can change the whole atmosphere of the event using built-in themes:

🌌 Cosmic
⛈ Storm
🔥 Inferno
🌿 Nature
🌑 Void
❄ Frost

Each theme changes particles, sounds, and overall feel of the event.

🌀 Particle system

Instead of random particles, SMPStart uses structured effects like:

spirals
orbit rings
vortex shapes
helix-style effects
expanding shockwaves

These get more intense as the countdown reaches zero.

🌍 World border

Before the SMP starts, the world border is kept tight for effect.
When the event hits 0, it expands to full size in a cinematic way.

🛡 Grace period

After the launch:

⚔ PvP can be disabled automatically (configurable)
📊 A bossbar shows remaining grace time
🔓 After it ends, PvP is enabled again

🎛 GUI

You can open a control panel with:

/smpstart panel

From there you can:

start/stop the event
change theme
toggle PvP
adjust timings
configure rewards

Permission: smpstart.admin (default: op)

Put the jar into /plugins
Restart the server
Stand at spawn and run /smpspawnset
Pick a theme
Run /smpstart when ready
