This plugin makes Minecraft chat feel more "physical" by tying it to your character's location and actions. Global chat is gone. If you want someone to hear you, you have to be standing near them.

Key Features:

• Proximity Chat: Messages are only received if you are within distance of the other player (Configurable)
• Three Chat types:
  • Whisper: Active when you write /whisper, /wh, /w, /mutter or /low followed by your message OR when you are sneaking. Reduces your chat radius to 5 blocks by default (Configurable)
  • Yell: Active when you write /yell, /y, /shout, /loud or /l OR when you type in full caps. Increases your chat radius to 45 blocks by default (Configurable)
  • Normal: Active when you type normally. Chat radius of 45 blocks by default (Configurable)
• Speech tags: Automatically adds descriptive tags like "says," "shouts," or "whispers" based on the message type
• Immersive Formatting:
  • Capitalizes first letter of the sentence
  • Adds period at the end of the sentence
  • When yelling, the text is automatically in caps
• Overhead Text: Spawns temporary floating text above the speaker's head when they send a messag
• Disable private messaging: Option to disable private messaging (/msg, /tell) to ensure all communication happens in-world
• Fully Configurable

Commands

• /yell (Aliases: /y, /shout, /loud, /l) - Yell out your message
• /whisper (Aliases: /wh, /w, /mutter, /low) - Whisper your message
• /icreload (Aliases: /immersivechatsreload) - Reloads the config so you don't have to restart the server for a change

• immersivechats.reloadConfig - Gives permission to reload the config
