📖About OGDeathSwap

OGDeathSwap

OGDeathSwap is a lightweight, high-performance DeathSwap plugin built for modern Minecraft servers. Inspired by popular content creators, this plugin allows you to easily host intense, automated DeathSwap matches with your friends or community with zero hassle.

Every few minutes, players are randomly swapped into each other's positions—your only goal is to set deadly traps right before the swap occurs and be the last player standing.

🚀 Features

  • Modern Version Support: Built from the ground up to natively support Minecraft 1.21 and above.
  • Flexible Team Dynamics: Supports standard 1v1 play as well as asymmetric challenges like 1v2 or custom group setups.
  • Fully Configurable Timers: Easily alter the game pace by changing the swap intervals directly in the configuration.
  • Lightweight & Optimized: Runs efficiently on modern server software without causing performance drops during teleports.

🛠️ Commands & Permissions

Get your game set up in less than two minutes using these straightforward commands:

  • /ds addplayer <player> – Adds a specific player to the upcoming match. Note: You must manually add all participating players, including yourself.
  • /ds team <player> – Groups a player into a team for multi-player swap challenges.
  • /ds start – Commences the match and starts the swap countdown.
  • /ds reload – Instantly applies changes made to the configuration file without needing a server restart.

⚙️ Configuration

By default, the plugin is configured with a 5-minute swap interval. To customize the game length:

  1. Open the plugin's generated config.yml file.
  2. Locate the interval setting and enter your desired time in seconds (e.g., for a 15-minute game, set it to 900).
  3. Save the file and run /ds reload in-game to apply the changes.

📌 Requirements & Installation

  • Server Software: PaperMC, Purpur, or Spigot (1.21+ recommended).
  • Java Version: Requires Java 17 or higher.
  • Installation: Drop the .jar file into your server's plugins folder and restart your server.
