EventDirector is a simple, GUI-driven event management plugin for Paper that lets operators set a timer, configure PvP and worldborder behavior tied to that timer, show a custom title on finish, and display a customizable action bar countdown.
What it does
- Creates a configurable event timer that displays a live countdown in the action bar with a custom label, then runs end-of-timer actions like re-enabling PvP, expanding the worldborder, playing a dragon roar, and optionally showing a title.
- Provides an in-game GUI to toggle “PvP off until timer ends,” enable worldborder expansion with preset sizes, configure a finish title (color and style), and set a custom action bar label.

Commands (operator required)
- /EventDirector Timer
Sets the timer duration without starting it; supports formats like 30s, 5m, 1h.
- /EventDirector Timer Start
Starts the previously set timer and begins the action bar countdown.
- /EventDirector Timer Edit
Opens the main GUI to configure PvP-off-until-end, worldborder expansion, title options, and custom timer label.
- /EventDirector WorldBorder
Sets the default worldborder centered at the player; using 500 creates a 500×500 border at that location.
- /EventDirector PvP on
Enables PvP in all worlds immediately.
- /EventDirector PvP off
Disables PvP in all worlds immediately.
GUIs (opened via /EventDirector Timer Edit)
- Main menu
- PvP Off Till Timer: toggles disabling PvP for the timer’s duration.
- WorldBorder Expansion: toggles expansion-on-finish and opens a size selector if enabled.
- Title Show: toggles showing a title when the timer ends; enabling adds “Edit Title.”
- Edit Title: set color (red, green, blue, yellow, cyan) and font style (plain or bold).
- Custom Timer Text: set the label used before the countdown in the action bar (default “Timer”).
- Each submenu includes a red glass “Back” button to navigate to the previous menu.
Timer completion behavior
- Re-enables PvP if it was disabled for the timer.
- Expands the worldborder to the selected size over a short, configurable duration.
- Plays the ender dragon growl for all players and optionally shows a configured title.
Config (minimal)
- worldborder-expansion-duration: 60
Controls how fast the worldborder expands (seconds) after the timer ends.
Notes
- All slash commands require operator status and affect the current server state immediately as described.
- Worldborder “default” is set manually via command and is not altered when the timer starts unless expansion-on-finish is enabled.
