Overview
TripwireDuper is a Minecraft Forge mod that introduces a redstone-triggered tripwire hook duplication system.
It enables controlled, redstone-based item duplication through strict structural validation.
Core Structure & Validation
Required Components:
- Tripwire Hook – Primary control block
- Tripwire Connection – Two blocks forward and one block lower
- North–South Alignment – Mandatory
All blocks are validated before activation.
If validation fails, duplication will not occur.
State Machine
IDLE → ARMED → TRIGGERED
IDLE – Structure missing or invalid
ARMED – Structure validated, waiting for redstone
TRIGGERED – Redstone transition (OFF → ON) executes duplication
Redstone System
- Block Placement Events – Structure validation
- Neighbor Update Events – Detect OFF → ON transitions
Only edge transitions trigger duplication. Constant power does nothing.
Safety & Control
5-Tick Cooldown Per Structure
Continuous Structural Validation
Air-Space Position Checking
Edge-Triggered Redstone Detection
Strict North–South Enforcement
Technical Classes
- DuplicationEngine – Duplication execution & positioning
- TripwireEventHandler – Placement & redstone events
- TripwireStateTracker – State machine & cooldown control
- TripwireStructureValidator – 15+ structural checks including orientation
- TripwireDupeMod – Main mod initialization
