Sword Blocking Plus

Sword Blocking Plus is an add-on that reintroduces the classic pre-1.9 sword blocking as an enchantment.

Features

• Adds a custom enchantment, Blocking, which;
• If applied to a weapon (swords, axes, or maces), allows the enchanted weapon to block attacks similar to a shield.
• Has two levels:
  • Blocking I
    • Faithful to pre-1.9 sword blocking
    • Blocks 50% of damage
    • Takes away 6 durability per hit.
  • Blocking II
    • Similar to modern shields
    • Blocks 100% of damage
    • Takes away 25 durability per hit.

Installation

• Data Pack
  • Drop the datapack in your world’s datapacks folder
• Fabric / Quilt / Forge / NeoForge
  • Drop the .jar file in the %appdata%/.minecraft/mods folder

• Other datapacks or modifications that adds Sword Blocking
