Bring futuristic transportation to your world with the Suspended Railway Mod! This mod adds a fully independent suspended railway system that works completely on its own — it is no Create Mod addon, and no vanilla minecarts or rails are needed to build it.

Designed to be fully survival-friendly, every block and item comes with crafting recipes.

This mod is inspired by Germanys Suspended Railway System (Wuppertaler Schwebebahn).
Features:

✅ **Custom Rail Classes**
Specially designed rail types that only work with the suspended railway system.

✅ **Exclusive Railcar**
A unique suspended railcar, which hangs under its rail construction. It can only operate on the mod’s custom rails.

Includes steel beams and rail construction blocks to build realistic and independent suspended track systems.

✅ Perfect for Cities & Futuristic Builds
Ideal for building skylines, industrial areas, metros, and elevated transport systems.

Blocks & Items:

Suspended Rail - New rail type, based of a powered rail. It works only with the Suspended Railcar and is specifically designed for it.

Curved Rails: as the name suggest: to build curves you need to craft curved rails seperately!

Railconstruction: A block specifically designed for the new rail types. Suspended and Curved Rails can only be placed on the Railconstruction block. No additional redstone needed, the block powers the rails automatically.

Steelbeam: A decorative block that can be used to support the rail construction, but only optionally.

Wheelset: special Item which is needed to craft a suspended railcar.

Suspended Railcar: new entity, based of a minecart, but hangs underneath its rails. It has to be placed on a suspended rail, then automatically adjusts underneath it. IMPORTANT: To enter it you need to click near its roof, hitbox is relatively high up.

This mod is forge-only (currently only 1.20.1 as well)

Right now, i am not planning to port this mod to fabric or higher mc-versions.
