📖About Spells & Magic
Three major spells with bespoke staffs and tomes: Fireball (ranged burn), Supernova (area scorch/knockback), and Mind Control (temporarily charm a creature to fight for you).
Learn spells by using their tomes; knowledge is tied to the player so staffs only cast spells you have studied. Staffs consume durability and enforce each spell’s cooldown.
Casting: right-click with a staff. Fireball launches from your eyes; Supernova blasts an 8-block radius around you; Mind Control raycasts up to 16 blocks, bonding a non-boss mob to you for 45 seconds (it follows, targets your attackers, and teleports closer if it falls behind).
Crafting highlights: Fireball Tome (Book + Fire Charge + Blaze Powder), Supernova Tome (Book + Amethyst Shard + Glowstone Dust + Prismarine Crystals), Mind Control Tome (Book + Amethyst Shard + Ender Pearl + Echo Shard). Staffs are crafted with rods/sticks plus their themed components (Fire Staff uses Fire Charge + Blaze Rods + Gold; Supernova Staff uses Amethyst, Blaze Rod, Nether Star; Mindbinder Staff uses Amethyst, Stick, Ender Eye).
Content is available in the custom “Spells & Magic” creative tab, with staffs also listed under Combat and tomes under Tools for easy access.
Notes & limits: Mind control intentionally excludes major bosses (dragon, wither, warden). No mana bar/GUI yet—cooldowns gate rapid casting. Spell knowledge is stored per-player; sharing knowledge requires giving tomes to others.
