This is an addon to the Sculk Horde mod.

Approaching the tree, you picked an apple, and suddenly, holding it in your hand, you were overcome by a strange feeling. Suddenly, you went to \[Zero Coordinates of the World\] and found a large underground fortress. The Physarum addon allows you to become part of the Sculk Horde, enabling you to enjoy all its benefits.

Key Features

1. One with the Horde

You have become one of the Sculk Horde entities. Even though you've retained your consciousness, it does not shield you from the purifying light of the Purity effect.

  • The Purity Effect: This effect now impacts you just as it does any other Sculk mob, weakening your newfound power.
  • Infestation Purifiers: Stay alert! Infestation Purifiers treat you as a hostile Sculk entity, dealing damage and attempting to cleanse your presence.

2. High-Ranking Privileges

Your voluntary devotion to the Gravemind has granted you unique command capabilities within the infection.

  • Squad Command: You can gather Sculk mobs into squads. Order them to follow and protect you, or command them to scout specific locations.
  • Hive Protection: All Sculk mobs will recognize you as an ally. They will immediately rush to your defense if you are attacked by anyone outside of the Sculk infection.

3. Physical Metamorphosis

Your body has undergone a painful but "enlightening" transformation to better serve the Horde.

  • A New Form: You now share the same "exquisite" appearance as your new brothers and sisters.
  • The Price of Power: All peaceful mobs and villagers will refuse to interact with you. Most will flee in terror, while others—like Iron Golems—will attack you on sight.
  • Sculk Vision: You can toggle your vision to the Sculk frequency. This allows you to see perfectly in total darkness and receive sensory information directly from nearby Sculk Sensors.
  • Essence Consumption: The Horde has deemed traditional food beneath you. Your body now feeds on Experience Essence rather than organic matter (even if it gets a bit messy!).
    • Soul Nourishment: You regenerate health by consuming your stored experience. Be careful: some of your new abilities also draw from your XP bar.
    • Shattering Touch: Your bare hands have become biological tools, allowing you to tear Experience Essence directly from infected blocks with high efficiency.
    • Resin Harvesting: You no longer need shears to harvest Resin from infected beehives. You can extract it with your hands and consume it directly. (Delicious!)
  • Hive Integration:
    • Acoustic Camouflage: Sculk Sensors no longer react to your movement. To them, you are just another part of the hive.
    • Restless Existence: Your body no longer requires sleep. You cannot use beds to rest or set spawn points. However, the Gravemind offers a solution: you can bind your essence to any Sculk Summoner, and the hive will reconstruct your body there after death.

4. Creation and Deconstruction

  • Node Manifestation: You can now craft a Sculk Node using a Chunk of Brain and a significant sacrifice of energy.
  • Biomass Recycling: By holding Shift + RMB on infected mobs, you can deconstruct them into their core components to reclaim resources for the Horde.

5. New Bonds, New Alliances

  • Communion with the Gravemind: You are now capable of direct dialogue with the Gravemind. Complete its dark directives to earn Faith Points, which can be spent to request direct assistance from the Sculk Horde.
  • Eternal Presence: The Gravemind is always watching. It will comment on your actions and guide you through your journey. You are never truly alone.
