Packed Chest

Packed Chest is a mod that, when you break chests or barrels while sneaking, collects them as an item that retains their contents, and when placed, can restore them to their original state.

You can place a large chest one block offset by holding Shift while placing it.

By hovering over a packed chest or barrel in the inventory and right-clicking, you can see the contents of the chest or barrel (items cannot be move).
