📖 Description

Nice Things adds a bunch of new stuff - items, blocks, recipes, and small tweaks to make the game a bit more fun. From Conveyor Blocks to chain climbing, there's plenty to mess around with! Suggestions are always welcome.

🧭 Detailed Overview

Display Case A new block that can be crafted. It displays and rotates an Item given to. Can only be used/broken by the player who placed it. 17 different variants available. Conveyor A new block that can be crafted. It transports Items and Entities laying on it in one direction and turns Dead Corals into living Corals, Concrete Powder into Concrete and Dirt into Mud when it swoops through water while on a Conveyor Block. Fan A new craftable block that fires Items and Entities in the direction it is facing. It also ages Copper Blocks when they are being fired. Chopper Functions much like the Conveyor but also cuts and breaks some blocks into others. Like Stone into Cobblestone, Logs into their Stripped Variants, Ore Blocks will be broken down into the ores. Container A new storage block that can be crafted. It stores up to 10000 stackable items of one type. (It also makes for a neat Item filter.) Copper Golem Players can now give Copper Golems a variety of Items they want them to wear on their Rods by throwing them the item.

Villager Outposts New Structures that can be found throughout your world. There are 7 different types (for each Villager type one) and each one generates with some Villagers. End Ships New Structures that generate in the End. Each structure has at least one broken Elytra. Decorative Structures You can now find decorative Structures in various biomes. Bundles Bundles can now be crafted with either Leather or a piece of Rabbit Hide. Wrench Craft a Wrench from 2 Iron Ingots and a Stick. It rotates most blocks and is compatible with Unbreaking and Mending. Soul-/Campfires Soul-/Campfire got overhauled and can now be crafted as either lit or unlit variants. They also stay lit/unlit when broken. Armor Stands Armor Stands now always have arms. You can also get a small armor stand by converting one in a Stonecutter. Frogspawn Frogspawn can now be mined with Silk Touch. Redyeable Blocks Glass Blocks, Glass Panes, Terracotta, Concrete, Concrete Powder, Candles and Glazed Terracotta can now easily be redyed if you want it to be another color. Paintings You can select a specific Painting when putting one in a Stonecutter. Mini Blocks Many Blocks have now a Mini Block variant that you can craft in a Stonecutter Stonecutter Wood Items You can now also get many Wood related items by putting a Log in a Stonecutter. Invisible Glow-/Item Frames Invisible Glow-/Item Frames are now craftable by combining a normal Glow-/Item Frame with a Glass Pane. Boiled Eggs Eggs can now be boiled in a furnace. Which makes it a good Food source for anybody having an unnatural amount of eggs laying around. Cheese Craft a piece of Cheese by combining a Milk Bucket and Sugar. It removes all Effects when eaten. Leather from Rotten Flesh Leather can now be crafted in a Smoker with Rotten Flesh. It takes a bit but gets the Job done! Dead Bush from Bush Craft a Dead Bush by putting it in a Smoker. Brown Dye Brown Dye can now als be obtained by smelting Podzol or combining Orange and Black Dye. Green Dye Green Dye can now als be obtained by smelting Bush or combining Blue and Yellow Dye. Repairing Anvils Chipped and Damaged Anvils can now be repaired by combining it with Iron Blocks in a Crafting Grid. Chorus Pie Chorus Pies can be crafted the same way as normal ones except you use a Chorus Fruit instead of a Pumpkin. Apple Pie Apple Pies can be crafted the same way as normal ones except you use an Apple instead of a Pumpkin. Sweet Berry Cookie Sweet Berry Cookies can be crafted the same way as normal ones except you use Sweet Berries instead of Cocoa Beans. Flowering-/Azalea Leaves You can either turn an Flowering Azalea Leaf Block into one without the flowers or the other way around. To craft Flowering Azalea Leaves, you'll need to combine Pink Petals with 8 Azalea Leaves. Cake Slices Craft Cake Slices from a Cake. Making it a to-go food source. Downgrade Blue/Packed Ice You can now also downgrade Blue Ice to Packed Ice and Packed Ice to normal Ice. Rooted Dirt Rooted Dirt is now craftable by combining Dirt with Hanging Roots. String from White Wool You always could craft White Wool from String and now you can also do it the other way around. Saplings to Sticks Craft Sticks from any Tree Sapling. Bell Bells are now craftable by combining an Iron Chain, Gold Ingot and Gold Nugget. Chainmail Armor Chainmail Armor is now craftable the same way as any other normal Armor is except it requiring Iron Chains. Horse Armor All Horse Armor is now craftable in a Crafting Table. Gilded Blackstone Combine Gold Nuggets with Blackstone to get Gilded Blackstone. Name Tag Those are now craftable as well. No need to exploid those poor Villagers for that any longer. Pale Moss Carpet/Block Can now be crafted in a Crafting Table with 8 Moss Blocks/Carpets and a piece of Light Gray Dye Dampen Vibrations Pale-/Moss Carpets now also dampen Vibrations. Honey Blocks Honey Blocks now also reset Fall damage (Similar to Cobwebs for example). Additional blocks to keep Strider warm Magma Blocks, Soul-/Campfires, Soul-/Fire now also keep Striders warm Enchanting Table (Setup) Trapdoors & Carpets can now be placed between Enchanting Table and Bookshelves without loss. Chiseled Bookshelves can now be placed in addition to normal ones for an Enchanting Table setup. Dyeable Saddles Saddles are now dyeable. You gotta look good on that Horse of yours. Dyeable Elytras Dye your Elytra to fly off into the sunset in style. Sculk Harness A new craftable Harness variant with a deep and dark vibe to it. Simple Harness A new craftable Harness variant without any fluff to it. More Golden Food Golden Carrots are cool but you now also can craft Golden Sweet Berries, Potatoes, Chorus Fruits and Beetroots. Biome Brews Craftable Potions that when used change the biome of the area around the user into something different. It has a range of 8x8x8 blocks. New Paintings There are a bunch of new paintings so you can decorate your houses even more. New Ambient Music Discs You can craft two new Music Discs from Disc Fragments. One for Forest Ambient sounds and the other for Ocean Ambient sounds. Armadillo Chestplate A new craftable Chestplate that removes poison effects from the wearer. New Banner Patterns (0-9/A-Z) There are new Banner Patterns for each number and letter in the alphabet. Unused Paintings The 4 unused Paintings - Wind, Fire, Earth, Water - are now also placeable. Turtle Food Turtle can now also eat Kelp Axolotl Food You can now also feed Tropical Fish (without a bucket) to your Axolotls. Soul Fire Base Blocks You can now light up Sculk or Crying Obsidian to create Soul Fire. Small Dripleaves Small Dripleaves are now also placeable on all Dirt Block Types and Farmland. Blocks holdable by Endermen Endermen can now only hold Melon and Pumpkin blocks. Keeping your builds safe while still allowing for Endermen based Pumpkin/Melon Farms. Climbable Blocks Iron/Copper Chains and Big Dripleaves are now also climbable. Ender Chests Ender Chests can now also be mined without Silk Touch. Reinforced Deepslate Reinforced Deepslate can now be mined with Silk Touch. Budding Amethysts Budding Amethysts can now be mined with Silk Touch. Mineable with Axes Heads, Beds, Candles, Cactus and Honeycomb Blocks are now (faster) mineable with Axes. Mineable with Hoes Froglights, Redstone Lamps and Sea Lanterns are now (faster) mineable with Hoes. Mineable with Pickaxes Glass Blocks, Glass Panes, Beacons, Frosted Ice and Levers are now (faster) mineable with Pickaxes. Duplicate Pottery Sherds Pottery Sherds can be duplicated by combining them with a Brick.

🛠️ How to, Instructions & Commands

The datapack usually just needs to be installed. There is nothing else you have to do. It just works out of the box.

But if you are playing on a PaperMC Server (or a PaperMC Fork like Purpur) make sure to set allow-non-player-entities-on-scoreboards in your paper config files to true in order for everything to work properly.

The data pack version also double functions as a resource pack. So in order to be able to see them, just place the data pack .zip also in your resource folder and activate it like any other resource pack.
