Immersive Bedrock

Immersive Bedrock aims to add an immersive way to break bedrock and craft it into valuable tools. Bedrock will now drop bedrock shards when broken. Combining four bedrock shards with a netherite ingot will yield a bedrock ingot for use in upgrades or raw crafting. A full set of bedrock tools is added, with armor and reinforced shields planned for a future update.

Bedrock is breakable with vanilla tools (tool level configurable)!
Mining speed is affected by enchantments and slowdown effects!

Getting Started

To get started, break some bedrock with your favorite netherite pickaxe (has to be your favorite!)

Craft the shards with a netherite ingot to get a bedrock ingot:

Assuming you have already found Netherite Smithing Templates, you can upgrade your netherite tools at a Smithing Table as shown below:

If you haven't found the smithing templates yet, fear not! You can craft the tools directly if preferred:
