Dan's Lightsabers

Have you ever wanted to feel like a Jedi Knight or a Sith Lord? This mod brings lightsabers into the world of Minecraft, allowing you to create and customize your own weapon using a unique lightsaber forge.

Content

Lightsabers

• 15 damage (configurable)
• Currently the mod includes 11 hilts and 6 colors
• Can block melee attacks and deflect projectiles
• Can be thrown at enemies if the ability is activated in a Holocron
• Turn on/off via a keybind or with Shift + Right Click

Lightsaber Forge

• Crafting lightsabers (hilt and color selection). Over 100 variations
• Lightsabers can be disassembled back into components
• JEI support
• Serves as a workstation for the “Jedi Trader” profession
• Can be found in the Jedi Enclave

Crystals

• Used for crafting lightsabers
• Can be mined by hand
• Generate in caves on different sides of blocks, at almost any Y-level. Generation can be disabled in the config
• If crystals are blown up with TNT, they can drop a Cracked Kyber Crystal
• A regular Kyber Crystal allows creating a stable blade
• A Cracked Kyber Crystal allows creating an unstable blade (e.g. Kylo Ren’s saber)

Jedi Enclave

• A structure that generates in plains and savannas
• Inside the structure you can find loot required for crafting lightsaber components
• A Jedi trader lives inside, selling various components
• A Jedi Holocron can be found in the central room
• In the library room you can find beds, new bookshelves, and the Enclave Terminal
• The Enclave Terminal quotes the Jedi Code or the Sith Code depending on whether the player is on the light or dark side

Holocrons

• Allow players to activate Force abilities by granting the “Force Adept” effect
• The Jedi Holocron grants the light-side version of the effect, the Sith Holocron grants the dark-side version
• Raiders and Sith do not attack players with the dark “Force Adept” effect, while friendly mobs and Jedi become hostile
• The light-side “Force Adept” effect does the opposite
• Clicking the Holocron again removes the effect from the player
• The Jedi Holocron can be found in the Jedi Enclave
• The Sith Holocron can be dropped by a Sith with a 60% chance

Force Abilities

• Force Push: activation range of 6 blocks
• Force Pull: activation range of 8 blocks; +25% chance to disarm enemies without the “Force Adept” effect
• Force Grab: activation range of 8 blocks; canceled when the player takes damage
• Force (Lightsaber) Throw: throw range of 20 blocks
• Creative commands: /lightsabers force get, /lightsabers force set [push, pull, grab, throw]

Entities

• Jedi Trader — a vanilla villager profession that sells components
• Wandering Trader — with a small chance sells Cracked Kyber Crystals
• Jedi — 40 HP. Has 3 variants (normal, desert, guardian). Spawns in Jedi Enclaves with a random lightsaber (random hilt and blade color). Attacks raiders and hostile mobs. Hostile to Sith and players with the dark “Force Adept” effect. Does not despawn on Peaceful difficulty
• Sith — 40 HP. Has 1 variant. Spawns with a random lightsaber (random hilt) during raids with a 15% chance, and can sometimes be found at Pillager Outposts. Behavior is similar to raiders. Hostile to Jedi and players who do not align with the dark side of the Force. Drops a Sith Holocron on death with a 60% chance

Who is this mod for?

This mod is made for fans of "Star Wars" and those who want to add some epic content to Minecraft.

The mod is inspired by the game Knights of the Old Republic.

FAQ

Q: Will there be a release for Fabric, Quilt...?
A: No, the author does not have time to learn other mod loaders. However, you can try using Kilt to load this mod on Fabric.

Q: Will there be a release for version 1.2X.X?
A: There will definitely be no downgrades, but a release for newer versions is possible in the future.

Important: The mod is in the early stages of development. More types of lightsaber hilts are planned to be added in future updates.
