📖About Create: Inhibitor

Create Inhibitor

A Create add-on that adds a rotational-powered mob-blocking field generator — perfect for large Create factories, underground megabases and long, dark train tunnels.

A lightweight mid-game utility block. Scales with RPM, integrates into Create's kinetic network, and includes an in-game Ponder scene.

Overview

The Rotational Inhibitor is a kinetic block that prevents natural hostile mob spawns in a radius around itself. The faster it spins, the larger the protected area. It is designed as a mid-game Create utility with a relatively high stress requirement so it fits into Create progression.

How it works

  • Protection radius = RPM × 0.25 (capped at 64 blocks)
  • Only prevents natural hostile mob spawns; does NOT affect spawners, eggs, or passive mobs
  • Updates dynamically as RPM changes
  • Stress unit is 8SU per block radius

Usage

  1. Place the Rotational Inhibitor where you want coverage.
  2. Connect it to a Create kinetic network (shaft, gearbox, speed controller, etc.).
  3. Apply rotational power! The block will prevent hostile mob spawns in its radius.
  4. Increase RPM to expand the protected area.

Crafting

This block is crafted via Mechanical Crafters. No manual crafting recipe available.

Tips

  • Chain multiple inhibitors for mega coverage without lighting every block.
  • Use Create's Speed Controller to fine-tune radius in dangerous areas.
  • Perfect for mob-proofing long rail lines and huge underground halls.

Ponder

Includes a Create Ponder scene teaching players how to place, power, and scale the inhibitor. Found in the Create Ponder index under Utility. (this is still a WIP)

Compatibility

Works alongside other Create add-ons.
