Adds a mechanic similar to Generation 4 underground mining to Minecraft, pre-configured to work with both Cobblemon and vanilla.
This mod adds rare excavation spots randomly to stone, deepslate, sandstone, netherrack and more.
Occasionally, these blocks emit a faint sparkle. Interacting starts an excavation instead of normal mining.
The mechanic is inspired by the Pokémon Underground.
An excavation is a limited interaction with a hidden wall structure.
You remove layers to uncover buried items while managing wall stability.
You can choose between a precise tool that clears single tiles or a heavier tool that clears a wider area at higher cost. Each action reduces stability. When stability reaches zero, the wall collapses and remaining items are lost.
The mod works as a standalone feature and integrates with modpacks.
In vanilla environments, excavation can yield items such as diamonds, netherite scraps, enchanted golden apples, and music discs.
With Cobblemon and Mega Showdown installed, excavation sites can contain fossils, evolution stones, relic statues, crown fragments, Mega Stones, Key Stones, and Tera Shards.
Additional mod items can be added through configuration.
New in 1.3: You can now rarely find large, very large and huge deposits! These contain way more and rarer items!
