With this fully automated and configurable mod, you can craft stairs using just three blocks, allowing you to craft them directly from your inventory without needing a crafting table. This also ensures that the crafting recipes align with the actual shape of the stairs in the game.

These new recipes are generated automatically, making it compatible with almost every other mod. Firstly, this mod scans for every recipe that resembles a stairs recipe. Then it creates a new 2×2 stairs recipe for each one it detects. In the config file, you can adjust the number of stairs you get, and if you want, you can manually add more stair variants.

Configuration

You can configure this mod directly in-game or edit the JSON file config/betterstairscrafting.json in your profile folder. Please note that any changes will require restarting Minecraft to take effect.

stair_amount - determines how many stairs you get from crafting

add_recipes_manually - if set to true, this mod stops generating stair recipes automatically and generates them based on the list below

block_stairs_list - list of blocks and the corresponding stairs you craft from them
