🚂 Better Furnace Minecarts

Better Furnace Minecarts transforms the often-ignored vanilla furnace minecart into a fully controllable, miniature steam locomotive. Stop throwing coal at a wooden box and start managing your rail system like a real engineer!

✨ Features

Custom GUI: No more accidental fueling! Right-click any furnace minecart to open its control panel and manage its internal inventory.

Parking Brake: Use the integrated Brake system to lock your minecart in place. Perfect for parking at stations or loading resources without the cart rolling away.

Directional Boost: Forget unpredictable movement. Face the direction you want to travel and hit the BOOST! button to launch your locomotive exactly where you need it to go.

Auto-Refuel System: The cart features a dedicated fuel slot. It will automatically "consume" coal or charcoal from its internal inventory as long as the brake is released.

Immersive Experience:

Visuals: A working furnace flame animation in the GUI shows you exactly when your engine is running.

Sound: Custom sound effects including steam hisses, fire crackling, and rhythmic rail-riding sounds for that authentic steam train vibe.

The Shift-Bypass: Need to use a Create Mod Wrench or attach a Coupler? Simply Sneak (Shift) + Right-click to bypass the custom GUI and interact with the minecart using other mods' tools.

Physics: Works alongside other rail mods without crashing.

📖 How to use

  1. Place a Furnace Minecart on a rail.
  2. Right-click it to open the menu.
  3. Place Coal or Charcoal into the fuel slot.
  4. Toggle the Brake to "Ready".
  5. Look in your desired direction and press BOOST!.
  6. Optional: To use Create Mod couplings or wrenches, hold Shift while right-clicking.

🛠 Installation

  1. Make sure you have the Fabric Loader and Fabric API installed.
  2. Drop the .jar file into your mods folder.
  3. Enjoy your new locomotive!
