My solution to the controversial Combat Update ft Elytra and easy endgame. Getting to the End of Minecraft feels like an early game achievement, lets change that!

This is an exploration and adventure mod that requires the player to seek out lost and forgotten treasures called Ancient Artifacts. These artifacts can be found all around the world and are required in order to ever seek the End again and fly with Elytra. A lot of people in the community have talked about how finding the End portal, beating the Ender dragon, and obtaining elyrta can be not challenging enough for most players and makes many means of travel such as minecarts and horses obsolete. Elytra is a great tool; however, it allows players to simply rely on a gunpowder farm and mending to fly many blocks per second.
There is also a new update for Minecraft coming out (if you have been living under a rock) called 1.20 Tales and Trails. One of the features it's adding is armor trims and smithing templates. From what Mojang has said, the smithing templates can be found in various places around the world like underwater ruins and piglin bastions. So, I took inspiration from that idea and decided what if player had to explore places like the ancient city and woodland mansion before beating the Ender Dragon and obtaining Elytra, especially if playing a hardcore world. So, this mod will add ~25 new items to the game and use rare existing items like the echo shard and nether star to be collected together, crafted, brewed, and placed together to form a monument of sorts.
This monument configured using all of the custom items/blocks added to the game, placed and used in the right way will allow for the eyes of ender to be placed in the End Portal frame. There are plans in the future to flesh these items out more, give them more functionality, and more ways to find in the world, but for now version 1 achieves the mods goal.
This mod currently works for Minecraft Fabric 1.19.2 - 1.21.1!!!
