This mod adds a new dimension with many new and unique resources.

In order to enter the Abyss, you are going to have to find the Abyssal Dungeon. You can either look for an explorer map in Mineshaft Chests or just look for a suspiciously flat wall inside of a cave around Y=0.

You will need to find the Portal room inside of the dungeon (It is guaranteed to spawn) and grab the Abyssal Lighter Smithing Template from the chest and craft an Abyssal Lighter with the Template, an Iron Ingot, and a Diamond on a Smithing Table.

Blocks

Abyssonite:

A common stone found mostly at layers Y=-64 to Y=128 that can be used as cobblestone or decor.

Soapstone:

A decorative block found at Y=-40 to Y=60 that can be crafted into Bricks.

Abyssal Soil:

Dark blue colored dirt found in most of the Abyss that can grow Darksprouts and Abyss Irises.

Abyss Iris:

Purple flowers found on the surface of the Abyss that can be made into Purple Dye.

Abyssal Moss:

Light purple moss that is found in the Deeplight that can grow Depth Flowers and Abyssal Moss Growths on it.

Depth Flower:

An uncommon flower found in the Abyss caves that can be crafted into Orange Dye or brewed with an Awkward potion to make Fire Resistance.

Lunar Conifer Wood:

A Magenta-colored wood that can be found in the Lunar Forest biome.

Abyssal Crystal:

Clusters of rainbow colored gems found in the Abyssal Plains that increase jump height when standing on them.

Depthnite:

A light blue colored stone found mostly at layers Y=-50 to Y=-200 that can be used as cobblestone and decor.

Mantle Stone:

Brownish colored stone that generates at the deepest parts of the Abyss (Y=-200 to Y=-256) that can be used as cobblestone or decorative blocks. These will emit ash particles when an entity is standing on them. Iron will occasionally appear in this stone.

Abyssal Fabricator:

This unbreakable block is found in the Shadowing Compound. It is used to Enchant Archynt Crystals and forge the three Legendary Swords.

Light Sensor:

This block will emit a Redstone signal based on the amount of light on the block above it. 11 Light Level = Signal Strength 11.

Depth Corruption:

A group of dark bluish blocks found deep in the Abyss. Some of these blocks have special features:

-Corrupted Barrel:

 -A loot container that will alert nearby Depth Corruption blocks when an item is stolen from it.

-Depth Snapper:

 -This block will deal damage to a player when they step on it after it has been alerted.

-Deadfungus:

 -This small mushroom will take 1 health from a mob that steps on it and use it to grow more Corruption when alerted.

-Totem Hole:

 -This is the spawn location for the Totemic mob. If alerted, four Totemics will spawn, making a stack.

-Depth Burrow:

 -This is the spawn location for the Depthgroaner mob. A single one will dig out of this block when alerted.

Dullerock:

This is a mostly decorative stone that can be made with Depth Corruption and Sparklite or found in the Deeplight.

Staring Idol:

This functional block requires Dullerock to make. It will emit a Redstone signal based on how close any entity is to it.

Surfacing Altar:

This is a special functional block that can be crafted or found in Deep Abyss Strongholds. It allows the player to teleport to the surface of the dimension they're currently in.

Items

New Smithing Templates:

There are four new armor trims included in this mod:

-Hidden is found in Abyssal Dungeons

-Lunar is found in Ruined Fortresses

-Depth is found in Deep Abyss Strongholds

-Greed is found in Corrupted Barrels

And two new Upgrade Templates:

-Titanium Upgrades can be found in Ruined Fortresses and Deep Abyss Strongholds

-Esperite Upgrades can be found in Deep Abyss Strongholds

And one bonus Smithing Template:

-Abyssal Ligher templates can be found in Abyssal Dungeons and Ruined Fortresses

New Music Discs:

There are two new Music Discs in this mod:

-Lowlight is found in Ruined Fortresses and Shadowing Compounds

-Depths is found in Deep Abyss Strongholds

Corrupted Scythe: (1.20.1 version only)

This item is found very rarely in Corrupted Barrels. It instakills most normal creatures if they have less than 5 health after getting hurt by the weapon.

Corrupted Stopwatch: (1.21.4 version only)

This item is found very rarely in Corrupted Barrels. It will slow down time to 0.25x speed within the game for 2.5 in-game seconds.

Legendary Swords:

There are three Legendary Swords that can be crafted in the Abyssal Fabricator and each of them has a unique ability.

Mobs

Depthgroaner:

This is a hostile mob that spawns from Depth Burrows if a player steals too many items from a Corrupted Barrel nearby. They have a lot of health and deal a lot of damage, but they will dig into the ground and despawn if they are not on a type of Depth Corruption block.

Totemic:

This creature will spawn from Totem Holes in groups of 4 stacked mobs when a player steals too much from a Corrupted Barrel. They have quite a bit of health and they do nothing except give the player darkness. These mobs have a solid hitbox, so you don't want to get trapped in them when a Depthgroaner is near.

Ores

Sparklite:

This common ore is used to make the Portal Frame and Sparklite Tools. It can be found at layers Y=-220 to Y=128.

Archynt:

This common ore is used for decorative blocks such as bricks and pillars, or it can be Enchanted in the Abyssal Fabricator. It can be found at layers Y=-132 to Y=128.

Vivianite:

Green colored metal that is similar to iron, but more brittle. The tools and armor have less durability, due to it being brittle. You can make decorative blocks such as Chains, Lanterns, and Buttond with this ore. It can be found at layers Y=-140 to Y=104.~~~~

Spessartine:

An uncommon red gemstone used to duplicate most of the Abyssal Descent Smithing Templates, the tools are between Diamond and Netherite in tier and can be found at layers Y=-50 to Y=-256, with it being more common lower down.

Titanium:

A rare and powerful ore that is used for tools and armor found in the Abyss. It generates between Y=-48 and Y=-256, with it being extremely rare to find higher up.

Fuegite:

A very common ore that can be used as Furnace fuel or combined with Vivianite for a decorative lamp. It can be found at layers Y=-190 to Y=-256.

Esperite:

An extremely rare ore that can be found at Y=-232 to Y=-256. It is the rarest and best material found in the Abyss and can be used to craft gear so strong that you can tank a Warden.

Biomes

The Lunar Forest:

This biome has a new type of tree called Lunar Conifer that can be used as wood, along with Darksprouts and Abyss Irises that generate on the surface.

The Abyssal Plains:

This biome has Darksprouts and Abyss Irises just like the Lunar Forest, but the biome also contains clusters of Abyssal Crystals, which make entities jump higher when standing on them.

The Abyss Cliffs:

The rarest biome found in the Abyss Dimension which contains craggy formations of Abyssonite on the surface, along with Copper Ore found higher up in the biome.

The Core Depths:

A biome filled with Depth Corruption. It will spawn mostly anywhere in the Abyss at deeper levels.

The Deeplight:

This is a rare biome filled with Abyssal Moss and Depth Flowers that generates in the Deep Abyss. Dullerock can be found naturally here.

Structures

The Abyssal Dungeon:

This uncommon Overworld structure is guarded by Illagers and contains a portal to the Abyss. Finding one of these dungeons is crucial to getting to the Abyss.

The Ruined Fortress:

This structure made of Abyssonite Bricks and Soapstone Bricks can be found occasionally on the surface of the abyss. It contains a few chests with Abyss blocks and resources, along with a new Armor Trim and a new Music Disc.

The Shadowing Compound:

This structure made of Soapstone Bricks and Archynt can be found rarely on the surface of the abyss. It contains a few chests with Ores and Tools, mainly focusing on Archynt and enchanted gear. This is the only place that the Abyssal Fabricator spawns.

The Deep Abyss Stronghold:

An uncommon structure that is found in the Deeper layers of the Abyss that contains very good loot and is the only way to obtain the Esperite Upgrade. Surfacing Altars and Staring Idols can be found in here.
