Now that you know the basics, it’s time to consider surviving your first night in Minecraft. You might have been sent to a wonderful biome where the sun is shining and everything is serene and calm.Unfortunately, when the sun goes down, the creepers, skeletons and other mobs come out to play. This can be dangerous for you so a quick makeshift shelter is necessary.
This shelter does not have to be your permanent settlement so make it sturdy enough to shelter you from enemy mobs but not something you’ll regret leaving.
First, you will need a lot of wood. You can do this by knocking on a tree to collect wood. Once you have enough wood, craft wood planks. Keep crafting till you have a large amount of planks. Craft a crafting bench using the wood planks.
Make basic tools you’ll need like sticks, a pickaxe, an axe, a shovel and a sword. Once you have these items, approach the side of a hill/mountain. Avoid going in caves; mobs are more likely to spawn there in the dark and kill you with a surprise attack.
Dig into the side of the hill/mountain 1×2 width and 3×4 in depth. Move in and craft a door to keep out unwanted mobs. Craft a furnace so you can make some charcoal. If you found coal, you can skip this step and start crafting torches and a bed. Once the torches and bed are done, you can light the torches and lie down in bed for some well earned rest.
